Have you seen the Newest Episode of Cake Walk yet?
I show you how to make Ponies, the tools of the trade and ponder the lack of sitting horse pictures on the internet. Where are they all??
My sculpted cakes class has 3 people in it, please sign up now so it doesn’t get cancelled! July 20-21, 10-3 in NYC, 50 W23rd st at the Institute of Culinary Education. You can sign up on the website here:
We’ll each make a carved cake; your choice of octopus, castle, truck/train, or robot, fully decorated with fondant and molded rice crispies parts, all edible. The first day is baking and making decorations, the second is assembling, carving and finishing. You get to take the whole thing home!
Search my “class stuff” tag for pix of the last time, I swear it’s super fun! If you tell me you signed up from tumblr, I’ll give you some cool decorating gadgets from my stash. You usually have to be 18 for these classes for insurance purposes, but it’s okay if you have some baking experience and are younger.
